Terms of Service

These Terms govern your use of the EventSathi app and website (the "Service"), provided by the EventSathi team ("we," "us"). By creating an account or using the Service you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service. If we change these Terms in a material way, we will tell you in the app or by another suitable method; continuing to use the Service after the change takes effect means you accept it.

• The Service is intended for adults aged 18 or over who can form a binding contract under Indian law
• People under 18 may use it only with the consent and supervision of a parent or legal guardian, who is responsible for their use. We do not offer the Service to anyone under 13
• You must not use the Service where it is prohibited by law

You sign in with your mobile number and a one-time code. Provide accurate information, keep your phone and codes secure, and tell us promptly at hello@eventsathi.com if you suspect unauthorised use. You are responsible for activity on your account.

You can delete your account in the app at any time. Your personal data is then deleted within 15 days, as described in the Privacy Policy. See how to delete your account.

You agree not to:

• Break any law, or attempt unauthorised access, fraud, scraping, or interference with the Service or its security
• Post unlawful, abusive, harassing, hateful or sexually explicit content, or content that exploits or endangers children
• Share anyone's private information without a right to do so
• Impersonate another person, or create fake events or identities
• Send spam or unsolicited bulk messages, or misuse invitations and chat
• Book vendors in bad faith or post false reviews
• Copy, reverse-engineer, or resell the Service, or use it to build a competing product

Event details, photographs, videos, documents, messages and guest lists you add ("Your Content") remain yours. You give us a limited, non-exclusive licence to host, store, process and display Your Content solely to operate and secure the Service for you and the people you choose to share it with. We do not claim ownership of your photographs, and we do not sell Your Content.

You are responsible for Your Content. You confirm that you own it or have the necessary rights and permissions, including from photographers, clients and the people shown in it.

Guests, vendors and children

When you add information about other people, such as guests, team members, vendors or children, you confirm you are entitled to, that you will use it only for the event, and that you will comply with applicable privacy law. For a child, you confirm you have the parent or guardian's permission. We may remove content that breaches these Terms or the law, or that is validly reported to us.

Vendors are independent businesses. EventSathi does not employ them, is not a party to your agreement with them, and does not guarantee their availability, quality, pricing or conduct. Confirm price, scope and credentials directly with the vendor. Disputes with vendors are between you and the vendor. Please report misconduct to hello@eventsathi.com.

• EventSathi is a paid service. Pricing and plans will be shown in the app or on this website before you are charged
• We may offer early-access or promotional access for a limited period. Any such offer is valid only as stated when it is made, and is personal to you
• We will not charge you without your clear agreement, and will give advance notice of any change to prices or plans
• Payments are processed by third-party payment processors. We do not store full card details
• Where required by the app stores or law, purchases made through Apple or Google follow their billing and refund terms

EventSathi, including its software, design, logos and brand, belongs to us or our licensors. We grant you a limited, revocable, non-transferable licence to use the app for your own event planning.

We work to keep the Service reliable but it may be interrupted for maintenance or reasons outside our control. We may add, change or remove features. If we decide to discontinue the Service entirely, we will give you reasonable advance notice, and a way to export or delete your content.

EventSathi is a planning and coordination tool. The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" to the extent permitted by law. We do not promise that vendors will confirm, that guests will respond, or that your event will go as planned; please verify important details yourself.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential losses, loss of profit or data, or disputes between users, vendors and guests. Our total liability to you for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim or INR 5,000. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded by law, including for fraud or death or personal injury caused by negligence, or limits your statutory rights as a consumer.

To the extent permitted by law, you will compensate us for losses arising from Your Content, your unauthorised sharing of other people's information, or your breach of these Terms.

You may stop using the Service at any time by deleting your account. We may suspend or terminate access if you breach these Terms, act unlawfully, or put the Service or other users at risk, with notice where reasonably possible. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination, such as intellectual property, liability and governing law, will survive.

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Contact hello@eventsathi.com first; we will try to resolve complaints informally within 15 days. Subject to any mandatory consumer rights you have, the competent courts in India have exclusive jurisdiction.

If you send us ideas or feedback, we may use them to improve the Service without obligation to you.
